Steps for setting up the sale:
JANUARY-FEBRUARY
1.) Call Carol Lolotte 254-5808 or Cynthia Green 254-4541 to verify that the date available and to reserve it.
2.) Print out the Facility Rental form from the Town of Brattleboro's Web site http://www.brattleboro.org and mail it in - you should receive the approved form back in a few weeks, file this and keep it with the Sale things in case there are any future issues (there never have been but Mary will ask you for it - so you should have it HA HA).
3.) Send out letters/e-mails to the following now so they can plan and again on May 1st so they are reminded:
* Steve Barrett, Public Works Director,
sbarrett@brattleboro.org to inform them that the Garden Club will be having their annual Flower Sale on Saturday May ___ and ask him to mow the lawn & put picnic tables out a few days before the sale.
* High School Horticulture Instructor - Mark Nevin 802-451-3910 ext 3913 mark_nevin@fc.brattleboro.k12.vt.us to inform them that the Garden Club will be having their annual Flower Sale on Saturday May ___ and that they can participate in any Non-Competing activity or fund raiser.
* Bonnyvale Environmental Education, beec@sover.net 257-5785 sometimes sells raffle tickets before/during the sale for a canoe/kayak. Please send them an e-mail and welcome them to participate.
* West Brattleboro Fire Station 254-5686, Assistant Cheif Bucossi - dbucossi@brattleboro.org to inform them that the Garden Club will be having their annual Flower Sale on Saturday May ___ and could they put out their cones so our patrons do not interfeir with the needs of the Fire Department. And also could we use their bathroom facilities is necessary. Thank them for all their support over the years.
* Brattleboro Community TV (BCTV) BCTV@sover.net, Phone 257-0888, fax 258-6508to inform them that the Garden Club will be having their annual Flower Sale on Saturday May ___ and could they put this information on the TV Community Events. If they would like to film the Garden Club Sale or other things, we would be happy to work with them. Hugh Bronson and the Camera Man did a wonderful job in 2004 - what a team BCTV is for our community.

4.) Update Poster, Directions, any other hand outs that have been created.
5.) Update your committees and the Calendar of Events and Job Descriptions.
6.) Mail Advertising with check ($42.00) for a FRONT PAGE, BLOCK AD for the WEEKEND of May 14-15 to:

NOTE: The Reformer front page block ad's fill up quickly - and we want this on the FRONT PAGE !!
APRIL
7.) Print out 100 Posters, 100 Directions and Committee List to be distributed 4 to each person at the Annual Meeting
8.) Send out newspaper FREE advertising to Reformer, Town Crier in the Community Events
MAY
9.) Send out reminder letters again from #3
10.) Create Yearbooks & Brochures to hand out at the sale.
SALE WEEK
11.) Have pricers go to drop off points to price
12.) Create Labels for types of plants that are plentiful this year
13.) Make sure that the pricers have enough felt-tip pens and Labels of wood or something easy to write on.
14.) E-Mail Radio Stations - ask to have add run under Community Events

DAY BEFORE SALE
14.) Check to see if lawn is mowed and thank Steve Barrett
15.) Call Cashier Chairperson and see if everything is OK - do you need money/change picked up from bank
16.) Call Table Chairperson and see if Tables & Plastic coverings are ready to go
17.) Create list of pickups of plants
